Yogabirth Prenatal Yoga and Postnatal Pilates & Yoga

  • Pregnant women who are 14 weeks into their pregnancy onwards.  

  • The classes work best when you start early and carry on throughout your pregnancy until birth.

  • Teach you practical techniques to help your body release and relax in preparation for labour e.g. water as a form of pain relief

  • Demonstrate the importance of breathing for relaxation, focus & natural pain relief

  • Provide a time for relaxation in the midst of a stressful situation

  • Give you an opportunity to meet other pregnant women, relax and have fun.

  • Facilitate discussions about changes/discomforts that occur during the pregnancy and issues around pregnancy, labour & birth

  • Explore appropriate and effective yoga positions to aid labour e.g. using gravity

  • Show you ways of using a birth ball and birthing pool

  • Create a space to share experiences of pregnancy and birth, which can help the individual as well as the whole group

  • Offering you over 2 decades of Active Birth/YogaBirth experience and expertise.

  • Dance and movement also included in the sessions

  • Initial registration followed by 4 - weekly blocks bookings

  • Non transfer or refund given

The class finishes with a visualisation and relaxation building in hypno-birthing skills.

To prepare for the class, have your own yoga mat, water, blankets, cushions to hand.

Make sure the space is warm but not too hot.   You may want to increase the temperature when we come to the relaxation at the end.

I always check in with your at the beginning of the class to see how you are .  But it is your responsibility to keep me informed of current medical issues.

 

Classes Times and Venue: Live Streaming 

Post natal Yoga /Pilates:  Friday 11.00-12.00noon

Prenatal Yoga: Thursdays 6-7.15pm online

Followed by a weekly Pregnancy yoga Nidra which you also need to book individually.

Concessions: available for those with household income below £16,000 (proof must be provided)

Concessions are available to the BAME  who cannot afford the full fee.  50% reduction.
