Hi everybody, I apologies for the radio silence.
In April I went on a little retreat for 5 days in the Umbrian hills. Organised and run by a good and cherished friend, Karen Clarke.
We trained many years ago at the Laban Centre for Movement and Dance as dancers. So after graduating she went to Holland to live and grow her family and a very successful and wonderful business in the fitness industry. Now she is organising retreats on a international basis.
She invited me to be a guest teacher for some of this workshop. I was happy to oblige. Working with a lovely group of mainly Dutch ladies who are accomplished, professional business women. Their bodies were willing and able to play, release, relax and get nourishment from the practice.
We were very blessed with the space. A renovated chapel, which had just the right energy and stillness. Remote enough away from the nearest village which was 10 kilometres away. Right in nature, so that we could really listen and appreciate the undoing.
This is the second retreat I have taught on and each time, I find myself allowing the workshop teacher to come forward and the workshop takes on a energy of its own.
Armed with my teacher Sandra Sabatini encouraging words, in my mind and heart and copy of her book to share passages from, as well as give the group a taste of pranayama, and yoga Nidra, we had a wonderful time.
I will be running mini workshops with my good friend Jane Davis, who has a passion for working with gongs and sound vibrations, we are planning to run workshops in the very near future.
If you like what you hear, and would like to invite me to teach at your retreat, please feel free to contact me.
